An innovative, simplified approach to EMS development and certification The offer – free EMS Easy training and follow-up implementation support for small and medium sized enterprises located in Harrow. The benefits - having an Environmental Management System (EMS) brings many business benefits. An EMS: * Helps win new business by standing out from the competition. * Provides a framework to manage environmental aspects (including energy, waste, water, carbon and legislation). * Helps set policy and targets to monitor and improve financial and environmental performance. * Shows customers a business is managing its environmental responsibilities and achieving ISO 14001 or EMAS certification demonstrates quality. * Enables businesses to find less costly methods of production. The service - ‘EMS Easy’ is a new template-based toolkit designed to easily implement an EMS. Many businesses across Europe have used the toolkit to achieve certification to the European EMAS and International ISO 14001 standard. EMS Easy is based on a simple, visual and practical tool called Ecomapping™ used in over 80 countries. The Ecomapping and EMAS easy™ tools were developed by Heinz Werner Engel in Belgium; Global Action Plan is licensed to use them in the UK.
