Business Support Taster from HiB
A new opportunity – but get in quick!
Harrow in Business (HiB) is offering you a unique opportunity
to boost your business results with a monthly group mentoring/networking
service – the first offered in the borough.
However there is only funding for around 90 businesses
to take part, and it’s first come first served.
The group mentoring service is aimed at pre-start and
existing businesses and features:
Small groups
There will be no more than six people in each group. Clients
will be handpicked to ensure an appropriate and varied
mix for networking and mentoring purposes.
Experts on tap
Each group will have a facilitator. He or she can call
on other experts to also join the monthly meeting if
specialist knowledge is required on a topic.
Monthly meetings
At each monthly meeting, mentors will advise their groups
on the challenges they are facing. Those taking part
will gain from everyone else’s experiences, find
they learn faster as a result, and will meet potential
clients and suppliers in their newly formed network.
Year Round Business Support
The service includes
- an initial review of your business highlighting the
issues and opportunities
- 12 half days of group mentoring, and
- an end of programme meeting, to develop a forward action plan and possibly case study.
The group mentoring service is being run by HiB and partly
sponsored by Harrow Council which is keen to support the
local business community and is concerned at the decline
in subsidised mentoring from the usual public sector agencies.
